ဆရာေအာ္ပီက်ယ္ရဲ႕ ၂၅-၈-၂၀၀၈ ရက္ေန႔က ကာတြန္းကို ဆရာႀကီး ေဒါက္တာေအာင္ထြန္းသက္က ဆရာေအာ္ပီက်ယ္ရဲ႕လက္မွတ္ကိုေရးထိုးေပးေစလိုေၾကာင္း ဖုန္းဆက္ေျပာေသာေၾကာင့္ ကၽြန္ေတာ္က ဆရာေအာ္ပီက်ယ္ကို မဂၤလာျမန္မာ ႏွင့္အျခား NGO မ်ားစုေပါင္း၍ ေဆြးေႏြးပြဲလုပ္ေနစဥ္အတြင္း ေျပာျပခဲ့ရာ ဆရာေအာ္ပီက်ယ္က ေနာက္ထပ္ ကာတြန္းတစ္ခုေရးဆြဲ၍ ဆရာႀကီး ေဒါက္တာေအာင္ထြန္းသက္ကို လက္ေဆာင္ေပးလိုက္ပါတယ္။ အဲဒီကာတြန္းက ပထမကာတြန္းရဲ႕အဆက္ျဖစ္ေနလို႔ မိတ္ေဆြမ်ားမွ်ေ၀ခံစားႏိုင္ရန္ ေအာက္ပါအတိုင္း ေဖာ္ျပလိုက္ပါတယ္။

Meeting with the UN Secretary General Mr. Ban Ki-moon

The UN Secretary General Mr. Ban Ki-moon invited Daw Yuza Maw Htoon of the MDF (Myanmar Development Foundation) and the Mingalar Foundation Dr. Phone Win to a meeting with Myanmar NGOs on Friday, May 23, 2008 held at the Sedona Hotel, Yangon.

At the meeting, the Secretary General expressed his sympathy for the victims and the urgent need to undertake relief and rehabilitation works. He articulated his appreciation and gratitude for our sacrifice and the people of Myanmar for their instant immediate and relief efforts. We thanked the Secretary General for expressing his concern for the people by visiting Myanmar. We appealed the Secretary General for assistance of the UN agencies to Myanmar NGOs, in time, to best serve the people in these devastated areas.
